
Nanjing Metro Line 3 is the sixth line completed and operated by Nanjing Metro and the second river-crossing line opened by Nanjing Metro. It was officially put into operation on April 1, 2015, with a green logo color. Metro Line 3 runs through Pukou District, Gulou District, Xuanwu District, Qinhuai District, Yuhuatai District and Jiangning District. The line starts from Forest Farm Station in Jiangbei New District in the north, crosses the Yangtze River and enters Dongshan Sub-City in the main city, and ends in the south at Mozhou East Road Station. The third phase of the project extending to Moling Subdistrict Station has entered the preliminary preparation stage and will officially start before the end of 2019. Metro Line 3 has a total length of 44.9 kilometers, including 42.5 kilometers of underground section and 2.4 kilometers of elevated section; a total of 29 stations are set up, including 28 underground stations and 1 elevated station
